exploring an abandoned hospital, part I.

What happens when three girls are bored during summer holidays? They go exploring. Exploring what you may ask. Hospitals, abandoned hospitals.

Meet the crew: Adela, Paula & Dora (The Explorer).

The hospital is situated on the southwest part of Zagreb and was built during the 1980's and the beggining of the 1990's, but they soon ran out of money and couldn't finish it. A part of it is covered in glass and used as storage space, but the rest is abandoned, covered in graffiti and hidden behind one meter tall grass. Here we call it "Sveucilisna bolnica" and man, who wouldn't want to see what's in there?

After we left our bikes somewhere on the meadow behind it we decided to go in. First, we went in the basement, which was probably the scariest part of the building but also beautiful, filled with plants and shadows, and pipes. The white metal stairs were the only ones that we found that lead up so we took them and they were the worst part about it because they were not whole. But we managed, and we were glad we did.

After roaming around there for a while, we decided to go towards the part which was covered in glass and climb up a few floors. The building truly is huge and it is such a travesty that its purpose isn't what it was supposed to be.

And then we arrived to the best part, the roof. And yeaah, we had a photoshoot there.
